A Maryland Piano Recital features three works by Amy Beach.   Junghoon Park (piano) and soprano Heather Fetrow offer selections from Beach’s Shakespeare Songs, Op. 37:
No. 1, “O Mistress Mine,” from Twelfth Night
No. 3, “Fairy Lullaby,” from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  And Park performs the evocative Hermit Thrush at Eve, Op. 92, No. 1.

Titled “Americana 250: A Pianorama” the concert is free of charge and takes place at 2 pm,  Sunday Sept. 20  at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, Severna, MD.

The program explores a wide range of American musical traditions, featuring works by Art Tatum, Mark Maarder, Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein, and George Gershwin.
